Assassin’s Creed Origins Free-To-Play This Weekend (19th-21st June) On Uplay

Walk like an Egyptian... For 3 days

Ubisoft announced today that Assassin’s Creed Origins will be free to play on Uplay from 19th of June 2pm UK time through til 21st June 9pm UK time. Pre-Loading is available from today (18th) as an extra bonus to help more players get to experience the game. Any progression made during the free weekend also carries over if the game is then purchased later. So if you have no weekend plans then this might give you something to do.

If you’ve not yet encountered Assassin’s Creed Origins, the story sees you taking on the role of Bayek, a Medjay (Google it). One of the sworn protectors of Egypt and one of the first Assassins as you try to protect the people and its lands from the Pharaoh. Origins also saw some radical changes to the way that Assassin’s Creed games are designed, the combat, progression, side quests and map design to name a few (these changes set the path for Odyssey and will most likely be expanded on once again in Valhalla when it launches). Check out the trailer below for a look at the game and the Free weekend offer.

It’s worth also noting that for a limited time Origins is 80% off on the Uplay store, and that if you have any Uclub Points you can get an extra discount on top of that. Not too Shabby.
